Reading various gardening blogs online has inspired me to set up my own record of my ups and downs of attempting to grow my own fruit and veg.
Trust me to pick November to do it - when all that's growing in my garden is probably the slug and snail population, snuggling up together for winter!  Having just bought a garden polytunnel last month, I'm now itching to get it planted up with ANYTHING - so I decided I would sow some winter butterhead lettuce last week.

The seedlings are through and I pricked them out into peat pots to grow on a bit before planting into the beds.
I've never tried growing lettuce in winter before (only been growing veg for a couple of years)- so we'll see if it comes to anything.

Anyway - welcome to my blog! I hope you'll stay with me as I share my successes and failures (cause I'm sure there will be a few) - and feel free to send me any gardening tips if you feel they would help me!
